Day trip from fes to Chefchaouen

Excursion day to the Mountains of Chefchaouen and Rif. We will travel north to discover an entirely different Fes culture and lifestyle after breakfast in your Riad or hotel on our day trip from fes to Chefchaouen.

Chechaouen is nestled at the foot of the Rif Mountains where, as the shape at the top of the mountains is known, the Chaouen horns was named; it was built by Moulay Ali Ben Moussa, a direct descendant of Prophet Mohammed, in 1471 as a small forteress. Chefchaouen was emancipated in 1956 and came under Spanish occupation.

For its typical architecture, it is called “blue city.” Discover the white and blue washed walls of the medina and the markets that sell exotic native crafts. On the old route to Larache, chefchaouen. A ruined Mosque, still in the tower, was built by the Spanish. You will enjoy a magnificent view of the Rif Mountains when heading back to Fes.
