Day Trip from Fes to Meknes and Volubilis

Meknes day trip itinerary:

In the morning, around 08:00 am we will pick you up from your destination in Fes. Firstly, we will head to visit the ancient city of Volubilis. The latter is the well preserved Roman empire ruins, containing so many pillars, archways, and incredible mosaics. After that, we drive to the Ismaili capital of Morocco Meknes.

First of all, we will be visiting the famous large gate “Bab” Mansour, built by the sultan Ismail. Not to mention that you can walk and explore that square, that is located in the front of the gate, named El Hdim. Also, we will visit as well the ancient royal granary and stables, the Sahrij Souani, and Kara the underground prison.

There are so many stories about the Qara prison, all people who entered the prison, they get lost and never come back. After visiting the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, we will Return back to Fes. When we get there we will drop you off at your accommodation, it’s the end of our day trip to Meknes from Fes.
