Marrakech
A vibrant city, where there is a mixture of modernity, and staleness of the Moroccan style of life. It is also one among the four imperial cities in morocco along with Rabat Meknes and Fez. Marrakech is one of the most exotic cities in Morocco, and it is what really we are talking about. It has nicknamed as the pearl of the south, the red city and the city of the garden. Marrakech has two differentviews, the protected Medina with surrounding walls and Gueliz which offers the possibility of a modern city. Furthermore, Marrakech was a commercial center long time ago of the ancient Berber population who have ruled the south of Morocco. The Menara, the Jamaa Elfna Place , the Koutoubia Mosque, and Souks are the best spots you shouldn’t miss in your visit to this beautiful red city .
Ait Ben Haddou
Ait ben Haddou is an iconic village situated in about 30 kilometers away from the center City of Ouarzazate. The village is still a residential at the moments. Visiting AitBen Haddou is an opportunity to get closer to the Moroccans rural life, and also to get in contact with villagers, they are friendly and kind. At the other side n the foot hill, there is the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, it was standing there for more than 700 and it was only build with the available materials in the area, mud, straw and stones, the amazing inscriptions they creatively made on kasbah are breathtaking.
Ouarzazate
The small version city of Marrakech, Ouarzazate is a very beautiful and clean city in the southeast of Morocco; it is considered as a crossingpoint and a touristic stop station for tourist heading From Marrakesh to the sand dunes of Merzouga, and vice versa. The City of Ouarzazate is known for its stunning views of the far Mountains of Saghro, and also for its palm tree oases. We cannot talk about Ouarzazate if we do not mention the great role it plays in movie making and cinema, it has three famous cinema studios, the Atlas Studios are the most known and commonly visited. In addition to the Kasbahs it has such as the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and the Kasbah of Taourirt in the center city.
Dades Valley
The Dades Gorge in the valley of the roses provides some of the most spectacular scenery of the south of Morocco. It is fertile valley where roses bloom in profusion in the Skoura and El Kalaa des Magoun oases and where a large part of Morocco’s rose and rose water production occurs. The Dades Gorge runs from Ouarzazate and stretched 100 miles to the east to Tinghir oasis and the Todgha Gorge. It is a scenically beautiful section of the Dades River valley separating the Atlas Mountains from the Anti-Atlas. The Gorge is best known for mesmerizing scenery and the Kasbahs set precariously amongst it overlooking the river below. Gravity defying rock stacks in all shades of red look as though they’ll crumble in front of your eyes and are deeply cut by gullies created by the persistent action of the river and weather.
Todgha Gorges
The town of Tinghir has got more than the big palm tree oasis in the area, one of the most known places in Tinghir is the Gorges of Todgha, an amazing huge creature of massive rocks had their form long time ago,it has become a landmark that signifies the southeast of Morocco. Todgha Gorges is the right place for climbers and adventure lovers, the vertically rocky walls offers a good display for climbers who want to test themselves.
Merzouga
Merzouga is effectively the end of the road in Morocco’s south east corner and is of interest primarily for the Erg Chebbi dunes, the most accessible large (160 meters high) sand dunes in the country. The dunes are accessible on camel back from the town, around 90 minutes away maximum, and offer desert camps for a night to remember. The best time to go to Merzouga is during the spring season and autumn, in summer the weather in Merzouga is burning. However, Merzouga knows flocks of tourists and Moroccan visitors who come for be buried in the hot sand of Sahara as a therapy. Besides, the desert of Merzouga has unpaved trails useful for cart and quad riders, as well as the high dunes offers a perfect place to enjoy sandboarding activities.
Cedar Forests
The cedar Forest in Morocco is a woodland area in the Middle Atlas Mountain Range. Home of the tallest and the oldest cedar tree in Africa, which unfortunately died since 2002, named as Gouraud Cedar, It has giving this name after the French general Henri Gouraud. This forest is located on National Route 8 between Azrou and Ifrane. The area where the cedar forest is has such a fresh air and good weather, an amazing place to go and trek, all you can see is hills covered by the cedar trees, and animals like the Barbarian Apes and wild boars. Things to Know Before Going on a 4-Day Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga
EXCELLENT Based on 795 reviews Posted on Austin WVerified Hope to come back one day! Awesome experience. Unfortunately our flight in was delayed, causing us to arrive late. However, our guide Ali adapted the itinerary with the time we had and showed us an amazing time. Merzouga, Rissani’s Souk and the mountain views of the High Atlas were absolutely incredible.Posted on Mikel MVerified Travel from Marrakech to Merzouga in 5 days. Hello,I just did a tour with Marrakech Camel Trips, starting in Marrakech, going through the Atlases and arriving at Merzouga Antler. It has been a very complete journey where we have been able to see and live a very positive experience with our guide Salah. Culture, landscapes, customs, amazing hotels... everything we have seen has fascinated us. The service they offer is highly recommended. The initial contact with Brahim was exceptional, and his clear and quick answers led us to choose this agency for our tour, as he helped us from the beginning with the different doubts and questions we had. Salah’s fellowship, and his professionalism also deserve a mention, no doubt. He kept an eye on us at all times and helped us a lot with the different plans we had in mind. A first rate guide!!Thank you for everything and I hope we will see you again very soon!! Good luck!!Posted on Kepa AVerified Very positive experience. Excellent guide We did the 5-day tour from Marrakech crossing the high Altlas and visiting places like the Merzouga Desert and Ouarzazte.I am very satisfied with the close treatment received and for the good organization at all times facilitated by the company. The hotels where we have stayed have been very complete and of exceptional quality. The camp in the desert was also very goodAs for our guide and driver, we are very grateful to him. We have had a very professional and very close relationship on your part. Your contribution to the trip has been excellentPosted on liz gVerified Unforgettable Sahara Adventure with the Best Guide, Barak! Our Morocco trip was absolutely unforgettable! From the magical Sahara camel ride to exploring vibrant cities. Our guide Barak made the experience truly special, warm, knowledgeable and caring. We always felt safe, welcomed, and inspired. A trip of a lifetime. Thank you Barak.Posted on Andrew BVerified Great Four Day Tour We had a great time on the 4 day Desert Tour. Ali, our driver/guide, did a great job getting us places safely and we had fun riding with him. We learned a lot about Morocco on the trip. We really enjoyed riding dromadaries (camels) to the camp. The camp had everything we needed. The sunrise was beautiful. Thanks again to Ali for a wonderful time.Posted on debclare03Verified Great Morrocan experience The trip to Morocco And the Sahara was fabulous thanks to the guide Barak. One is always apprehensive travelling into a remote foreign country from our Canadian homeland. Barak made us feel very safe and we'll respected. He also made the trek very enjoyable with his great sense of humour and story telling. Barak is a local Berber who is extremely proud of his country and well connected to the people. He was easily able to tell us about both historic and present conditions. We became aware of the traditions and customs through his guidance. The itinerary was great with wonderful accomodations and food, grand sites and experiences. The trip was long due to the vast distances we covered to ride the camels in the Sahara which was an absolute surreal experience culminating in glamping.I highly recommend the tour company with Barrack as the guide.Posted on Jodi AVerified 5 star experience Don’t hesitate booking a trip with Marrakech Camel Trips. You will get five star treatment and you will have the best and most memorable time of your life! Our tour guide, Elhoucine was so kind, professional, and truly the best. He didn’t miss a beat. I can’t tell you enough how wonderful our experience was. We started our 7 day tour off in Casablanca where we’re picked up right on time from our Airbnb. We then headed to Chefchaouen where we had a beautiful day touring the city on our own with his recommendations. We stayed at a cute little Riad and had a delicious breakfast. Then we headed to Fes with a quick stop in Meknes. He brought us to some really cool places to see local artisans, making pottery and leather. Then we went through the Dades valley and ultimately to Marrakech. Everything from start to finish was top-notch. The driving from each location was probably our most favorite because we stopped at some really cool places and got to see a lot in a short amount of time. Having lunch with our tour guide was so fun as well! He would take us to local places. I always felt safe and never got sick from eating the local food. This trip was truly amazing and that was because Marrakech Camel Trips was so totally organized and have the best vehicle for the guests and the best tour guides. Communication was always perfect and really with the tour guide and made our trip so much better. When we return to Marrakesh we are definitely going to go with Marrakech Camel Trips for all of our Morocco adventures. We have already recommended them to many of our friends and family.Posted on Sérgio MVerified a great experience that I definitely recommend We really enjoyed the whole tour experience and our private guide Idir. All the places we visited were absolutely worth it.Our stay at the Riad in Dades and the Premium tent in the desert both exceeded our expectations – very comfortable, with staff who were always attentive and genuinely friendly. The camel ride was just a bit longer and more uncomfortable than we had expected, but overall everything was great. The return journey is quite long and tiring, but still manageable.Overall, a great experience that I definitely recommend – you won’t regret it!Posted on Leon OVerified 4 days > 3 days - Mubarak is the best! My girlfriend and I completed a 4 day tour from Marrakech to the Merzouga Desert and back, and this was the way to do it. I would recommend the extra day as it breaks up the long drive and allows you to take more time to enjoy the sights. Mubarak was a great guide, taking us to various lookouts and points of interest along the way. He was very informative, telling us all about the Berber people, the different trades and agricultural practices, and pointing out different crops and livestock. Travelling around in his car was a much better experience than all the large busses, and Mubarak was more than happy to do whatever we asked of him. We couldn’t have had a better time! In the desert, camel riding, sandboarding, and quad biking are experiences that you should not pass up on. In Ouarzazate, I would say skip the studio tour unless you’re a big fan of a particular movie. Be prepared for 5+ hours a day driving as it can get a little tiresome.Posted on Kashmala HVerified Marrakech to Merzouga private tour We did the 4 day Marrakech to Merzouga tour with Mubarak, he was a wonderful guide and driver we felt safe and he was happy to answer any questions we had along the way. The accommodations are nice and clean, and the views on the drive were incredible. We overall felt the value for money was good considering we got driven around privately the entire time, didn’t have to plan anything and the camel ride and dinners/breakfast was included. We booked through whatsapp and were a bit apprehensive but Brahim is very professional and trustworthy. One thing that could be improved is lunch stops, they were sometimes at very touristy places with higher prices and set menus. It seems the tour is what you want it to be, so I think if you have places you want to go it’s better to be vocal and tell your driver early and they would be happy to comply. Also, payment can be hard if you don’t have the ability to get cash out (a lot of the ATMs don’t give out more than 1000MAD and my card was always denied so my partner could only get out cash). Therefore we ended up paying quite a bit in a surcharge which could’ve been avoided if we had planned in advance to get enough cash. The cost of a private tour is convenience and comfort, and we felt this was worth it. Thank you!Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
