    Pack for Varying Temperatures

The desert experiences extreme temperature changes. During the day, it can be warm or even hot, while nights can be very cold, especially in winter. Pack lightweight clothing for the day and warm layers for the night.

    Comfortable Footwear is Essential

You’ll be walking on sand dunes, exploring kasbahs, and visiting gorges. Bring comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots for a better experience.

    Bring Sun Protection

The sun in the desert is intense, so pack sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and a scarf to protect yourself from the sun and wind.

Expect Limited Internet & Phone Signal

Once you reach the desert, internet access and mobile signals can be weak or unavailable. Enjoy the disconnection and immerse yourself in the experience.

    Cash is Recommended

Most places in the desert and small villages do not accept credit cards. Bring enough cash for souvenirs, tips, and extra expenses.

The Camel Ride is a Unique Experience

Riding a camel through the dunes is an unforgettable moment, but it can be a bit uncomfortable if you’re not used to it. If you prefer, you can opt for a 4×4 vehicle instead.

    Respect Local Customs & Culture

Morocco has a rich cultural heritage. Dress modestly, especially in rural areas, and always ask before taking photos of locals.

    Try Local Cuisine

You’ll get to enjoy traditional Moroccan dishes like tagine, couscous, and fresh dates. Be prepared for some spices and different flavors from what you might be used to.
